Delete your account
In the app
Open your profile, tap Delete account under Sign Out, type DELETE and confirm. You are signed out straight away and can no longer sign in to that account.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app, email support@torch.app with the subject “Delete my Torch account” and the phone number you sign in with. We confirm by replying and delete the account the same way.
What is deleted
Your sign-in, profile, username, progress, WOOD, BRICK and GEM balances, buildings, items and cosmetics, Dojo goals and answers, homework and Torchie chats, flashcard decks, sketches, notifications, your tribe and crew membership and messages, and your match, raid, exam and cup history. Quizzes you built stay in the game for other players, no longer linked to your account. Where a record is shared with other players (a camp you started, a crew you were in, a cup you placed in) it stays, shown as “Deleted player”. GEM and purchases are not refunded.
What is kept
To stop the same phone or device claiming invite rewards again, we keep a record of the invite with a one-way hash of the phone number and install that took part in it. Reports you sent, and reports other players made about content you posted, are kept so moderation decisions stand. Usage and cost records are kept with your account removed from them. Some short-lived caches expire on their own within a week.
How long it takes
Your account is closed as soon as you confirm. The data is removed shortly after, normally within minutes.
